Offset printing and innovation
Our company places great emphasis on the quality of our service and products. That is why we use modern printers and machines.
Our Heidelberg XL 75 conventional printing press has been a prominent representative of offset technology in our machine fleet for several years.
It is important to know that with this printer we can print on materials weighing a maximum of 500g/m2 – offset paper, art printing paper or cardboard. In terms of size, this means a maximum sheet size of B2+ on the XL 75, but we also have solutions for larger sizes, such as Komori, which prints up to B1 size.
For even larger sizes, we also have several large-format printers, with which we are able to produce the desired product up to a sheet size of 160 cm. The XL 75 can mold or dry varnish in one run while printing in 4 colors. In terms of speed, its capacity is no less than 15,000 arcs/hour.

What is offset printing?
Offset printing is one of the most commonly used methods of creating printed products. It is based on the production of aluminum printing plates broken down into 4 printing colors (CMYK), onto which the ink is applied by ink rollers in the printing press. The ink is transferred from the printing plates to a cylinder covered with a rubber sheet, and then onto the paper. Due to the one-time production cost of printing plates, the price per piece is continuously reduced in the case of large-volume printing.
Advantages of offset printing
Offset printing has many advantages. Produces clear and sharp images as the rubber cloth conforms to the texture of the substrate, ensuring consistent and excellent quality. The pressure plate has a long service life and can withstand up to one million pressures with the right technique. It offers a low price per piece in case of a large number of copies, since the production cost of the printing plates is spread over the total number of printed pieces.
Characteristics of an efficient offset press
An efficient offset press offers a wide range of uses, including the production of books, newspapers, magazines, brochures, notepads and many other printed products. Center-Print’s modern machinery and innovative technologies ensure that all orders are made at the highest quality level, quickly and cost-effectively, satisfying all customer needs.
Other printing alternatives
Although offset printing has many advantages, there are also disadvantages that you should consider. In the case of printing with a low number of copies (less than 600-700 pieces), it is not economical due to the production cost of the printing plates, since the costs are not sufficiently distributed over the number of pieces.
The preparation of the printing process is more time-consuming, as it takes more time to prepare the printing plates and set up the machine. The maximum size of printable sheets in our factory is 1030×720 mm, for larger prints we use large-format printers. other procedures are required.
So let’s look at some more effective printing techniques:
- Digital printing: ideal for smaller quantities of printed materials that can be produced quickly. It is suitable for creating personalized or variable data. It provides a cost-effective solution when print volumes are low and speed is key. Our digital printing service is available here.
- Large format printing: An excellent choice for large-scale printing, such as citylight posters, multi-posters, billboards, molinos, flags, building nets, illuminated signs, decorative materials and vehicle decorations. A wide variety of print media is available, including paper, textile, plastic, and more. Request an offer for large format printing!
- UV printing: application of a special UV varnish that provides a special glossy or matte surface to the printed materials. It is particularly suitable for printing plastic, metal steamed label papers and cardboard. They provide durable and aesthetically attractive prints that resist wear and tear and environmental influences.
With our wide range of comprehensive printing services, you can be sure to find the process that best suits your needs, whether it’s high-volume offset printing or unique, special printing jobs.
