Our history

Our company, CENTER-PRINT Kft. was founded in 1992 as a Hungarian-German printing company with limited liability. We started our printing business in Debrecen at the Vágóhíd utca.

Our printing company became 100% Hungarian-owned, we continued our printing activities at Pesti utca in Debrecen, increasing our production capacity.

Thanks to the increased orders, our printing house moved to a much larger and more modern location than before, our new location were in Debrecen at Nyugati u. 5-7.

We put the Heidelberg Speedmaster 52-5 offset printing machine into operation and further major investments were made: we invested in Wohlenberg-type circular cutting machine, Maxima 115 cutting machine, Stahl folding machine, Agrafix stapler, Pony adhesive binding machine, Müller Martini saddle stitcher.

Commissioning of Smipack packaging machine and Heidelberg GTO 52 offset printing press.

The CTP technology, which replaces traditional film exposure, broke the ground in modern printing, so we put into operation the AGFA C workstation, which enabled much better printing and more precise execution.

The development of book-binding with the commissioning of the Duplo System 5000 binding machine.

Other technical investments in book-binding: Polar 115x straight cutting machine, Renz SE spiraling machine, Kalfass packaging machine

Modernization of the book-binding industry: Pioneer hot foiling machine, Pit Stop Mini crimping and perforating machine, Horizon folding machine

As a result of the increased demand for large-format printing, we put into operation the Mutoh ValuJet 160 cm wide giant printer and the Mutoh SC-1 cutting plotter, which also enables individual cutting of large-format roll prints.

The biggest development in the printing house's history so far: new, modern, state-of-the-art premises on Füredi út, 4,000 m2 area. New investments were made in the increased space, which affected the book-binding shop and the machine room: Masterline bagging machine, slitting machine, Heidelberg SpeedMaster XL75PC offset printing machine (alcohol-free) in the machine room.

Complete development of the IT system and introduction of a new corporate management system.

Development of digital printing by commissioning the most modern and fastest XEROX 1000 digital printer. Further developments: Citroen Jumpy, Ehlermann compactor, Müller Martini compactor, Heidelberg 74-2P

Developments cannot stop due to increased demand: We put the Ricoh digital printer into operation due to black-and-white digital printing and individual serially numbered, bar-coded orders • Binding developments: CMC board maker, Amco shrink film machine, Perfecta straight cutting machine • The capacity, quality and material selection of large-format printing due to the increase, the HP Latex large-format digital printer was put into operation.

New investment: HORIZON BQ 470 PUR glue binding machine - today's strongest gluing technique - e.g. for making books with excellent hold.

Acquisition of a new Horizon VAC-1000L/SPF-200L brochure production machine

Commissioning of the new B/1 size Heidelberg Suprasetter A 106 CTP (plate making equipment).

Installation of KOMORI GL540C H-UV B1 offset printing machine, which allows for the production of premium packaging materials and even the application of special UV varnishes, also for plastic materials.

Thanks to our complex investment, our digital machine park has been completely renewed. With the Ricoh PRO C7200SX 5-color digital printing press, the Canon Varioprint 6180 black digital printing press, and the MGI JETVARNISH 3D One digital varnishing machine, we can meet even the most special customer needs, even in the case of small and medium copies.
