Paper supply difficulties in the printing industry
Dear Partner!
After the vicissitudes of last year, in 2021 the printing industry was hit by an even more serious blow than before, which is already a serious crisis in the paper supply.
Based on the official reservation of the Printing and Paper Industry Association, “it can be concluded that the fulfillment of orders in the last quarter of 2021 and 2022 will be shaped by external circumstances that are beyond the influence and interests of the manufacturing press. and financial consequences. The Printing and Paper Industry According to the association’s opinion, all actors in the supply chain must take note of the market processes and adapt to the situation.”
By the mentioned external conditions, we mean the serious supply problems that have existed for months, which now, supplemented by the increase in energy prices, have caused a dramatic (in some cases 50%, depending on the product range) raw material price increase.
In the current crisis situation, suppliers do not undertake price guarantees, which in practice means that they unilaterally change prices, deadlines and delivery conditions. It happens that even in the case of already ordered items, multiple price increases are enforced in our direction, thus making it impossible to plan customer service and issue price offers.
This circumstance is also a firm demand from Center-Print Printing, which is why we are forced to implement price increases and changes.
If we do not have the paper raw material in connection with your price offer or order and it becomes necessary to order it, we reserve the right to change the price until the raw material arrives! If our supplier implements a price increase until the raw material is received, Center-Print Nyomda is forced to implement it in its previously issued offers.
With reference to the drastically increased and constantly changing delivery deadlines, we would like to point out that the production and delivery deadlines we have planned in advance are informative. Our colleagues are doing everything to ensure that expectations are still met to the maximum extent possible, but in the current circumstances, we cannot survive the previous flexible service and fast running times.
Our above provision is valid until revocation, for all our previously issued and issued quotations, individual agreements and orders that have already been accepted.
The Center-Print Nyomda team works with all its strength to ensure that our customers are served smoothly and to provide a reliable background for its partners despite the existing extreme conditions. We will continue to do our best to meet all requests from our partners and to minimize the production deadline, so we ask for your understanding for any delays in the production processes that may occur.
We trust in your helpful cooperation,
Andrea Szabo
